When the cold wave came, the dripping water turned to ice. How to maintain the compressed air system in the cold season to avoid or reduce the adverse effects of low temperature on the compressor and its system? Please accept the warm professional care from Gesu Air compressor brand, let us become your personal assistant in winter, keep the wind and frost out.
We teach you the following standardized practices:
First, environmental temperature control
Do a good job in the air compressor station room indoor cold measures, maintain the station room temperature above zero, the equipment temperature is best above 2℃ before starting; Outdoor pipes and valves should be protected against freezing, and key locations should be equipped with heating equipment if conditions permit.
Tip: In low temperature environment, pay attention to the leakage of condensate/cooling water around the equipment to avoid ice causing the operator to slip and fall.
Two, two-stage compression air compressor winter operation precautions
1. Start the machine
* The viscosity of lubricating oil increases at low temperatures, which may cause a series of problems, and special attention needs to be paid to the state of the lubrication system.
* Pay attention to the ambient temperature when starting up. If the ambient temperature is lower than the minimum temperature specified in the manual, a heating device should be configured.
* High low temperature viscosity will reduce the passing capacity of the oil filter, so that the oil amount of the compressor compressor in the initial stage of start-up is small; It is recommended to use the original lubricating oil, it is recommended to appropriately increase the frequency of oil filter replacement in a low temperature environment, and replace the oil filter after long-term shutdown in a low temperature environment.
* Low temperature causes condensation water to increase during operation, timely oil analysis, monitoring water content changes.
* For micro-oil air compressors equipped with heat recovery system, the oil valve connected to the heat recovery system should be cut off before starting; After the compressor is loaded normally, open the valve and switch to the state of heat recovery.
* Check whether the oil level is normal and add lubricating oil if necessary.
* For water cooling units, check the water cooler to ensure smooth water and no leakage.
* For centrifugal compressors, check the running current and adjust the maximum load set point if necessary to avoid long-term operation of the equipment at the maximum load state, resulting in motor overload damage.
2. Operation after shutdown
* After the system is shut down from the high temperature operating state, the gas in the compression chamber, pipeline and gas storage tank will precipitate a large amount of condensate water in a low temperature environment. In order to prevent condensation water from freezing and clogging the system or even freezing devices at extremely low temperatures, the condensate water in the compression chamber, pipeline, and gas storage tank should be discharged in time when the system temperature drops to the ambient temperature.
* For water cooling units, if there may be extremely low temperature after shutdown, the remaining cooling water in the compressor water cooler should be drained and the inlet and outlet water valve should be closed; When necessary, compressed air should be used to purge and drain to avoid ice causing expansion of the cooling pipe.
* For long-term downtime of oil-free air compressor equipment, it is recommended to start once a week.
I hope that the above sharing will become the winter warm baby of your air compressor, which will not be troubled by cold and still have excellent performance.
